About
Scream and Cry

Sophie Patterson was never your typical girl growing up. As a young girl, she was something of a loner; as she grew, she became more and more of an outcast.

The daughter of a horror B movie actress and a Gaffer on one of her movies, Sophie was raised by her mother and uncle, a voice actor. Sophie’s mother was a Scream Queen once known for her blood-curdling screams, but now it was her baby who would be known as Scream.

Scream grew up loving horror, the macabre, and all things goth. In high school, she converted her basement into a chamber of horrors, filling it with black candles, black curtains, and a larger poster of the Queen, her mother, in one of her most famous roles. She even has Cry, a prop rat puppet her mother has once starred alongside, although she hasn’t played with it for many years.

As Scream became more and more isolated from the other kids, she started to talk to the lifeless puppet rat and to share her inner thoughts. The lifeless puppet was a good sounding board and, sometimes, Scream got the feeling he heard her. He certainly had been around her whole life, and she had shared with the puppet her innermost thoughts and dreams.

After a particularly rough bullying session from the girls at school, Scream was crying in her chamber wishing for someone to understand her and to listen to her.

Suddenly, all hell broke loose, the room shook, and lightning struck, and bats and demons and all kinds of evil swooped in and out. And, as you can guess, the lifeless puppet slowly rose to life and began to talk back. And, boy, did he talk back!

The Reviews

Cry and Scream spent most of the next year in the chamber watching horror movies. Other than going to school, that was Scream’s life. Finally, Scream’s mom told her she needed to find something to do other than watch horror movies. That’s when she decided to do the Scream and Cry Horror Movie Review and stream them online from the basement chamber.

It was during the first show that Scream’s dead uncle, who we know as VO GUY, showed up.

Once they started recording the first episode, something happened. Flashing lights, a giant ROAR as if the Earth was moving. Something in that basement triggered the spirit of VO GUY and he came back to life, appropriately, in voice only. VO GUY finally had a new gig!!

Stuck in a purgatory ghost world with nothing else to do, VO Guy was happy to help with the show – mostly.

Scream

Scream

Sophie Patterson was not your typical rural suburban girl growing up. For one, she was a bit of a loner. And, later, a bit of an outcast.

Sophie’s mom nicknamed Sophie “Scream” as a baby, for obvious reasons – and it stuck.

When Scream was a toddler, her uncle VO Guy died. It was devastating. It was also Scream’s push to the macabre.

As a young girl, the other kids found her a little odd and were happy to leave her alone with her imaginary friends, strange pets, and conversations with the dead. Scream was fine with it, too.

One of Scream’s prop possessions from her mom’s movie career was a rat puppet called “Cry” that was used in a movie her mom had starred in as a young ingenue. Scream used to play with it when she was young, then abandoned it for many years.

As Scream became more and more isolated from the other kids, she started to talk to the lifeless puppet rat and to share her inner thoughts. The grungy puppet was a good sounding board and, sometimes, Scream got the feeling the puppet heard her. He certainly had been around her whole life, and she had shared with the puppet her innermost thoughts and dreams.

VO Guy

VO Guy

Scream and Cry had a very playful and silly relationship when her uncle, VO Guy, was alive.

Scream adored him. He worked steadily as a Voice Over actor in local newscasts, quiz/game shows, and occasionally an opening of a new car dealership. Not movie star work, but he got by and loved it. He was her only “father figure,” and when he was gone, nothing was the same. Scream and her mom inherited his house and property.

Father Bill

Father Bill has spent a lifetime on the verge of madness trying to exercise Baby Doll Delilah from his mind from his heart and from his nightmares. So far, Father Bill has resisted the dark side, the conversion to evil – but it has brought him closer and closer to madness.

Baby Doll Delilah

Baby Doll Delilah

Baby Doll Delilah is an evil spirit banished into a gothic fiery netherworld with only one real hope of escape: Father Bill.

Baby Doll Delilah was one of the devil’s favorite demons, sent to earth to corrupt the innocent. Father Bill was a young man studying to be a priest and was quite smitten and tempted by Baby Doll Delilah who wreaked havoc across the Midwest for years. Thirteen murders later, she was subdued by a band of priests in a biblical battle of good vs. evil.

The Priests were able to capture Baby Doll Delilah’s spirit and entrap her in a demented dollhouse in the depths of a purgatory dimension filled with other banished evil spirits. When she was cast away to another world, Father Bill was quite conflicted. As he grew older, Baby Doll Delilah continued to haunt his dreams, his visions, his music.

Baby Doll Delilah has worked fervently to escape her prison in the dollhouse and return to our world.

Nun None

Nun None

Nun None is two Nuns in one.

Nun has almost a blank angelic spirit. Ethereal, pure and beautiful.

Her counter personality, None, is a possessed demonic terrifying evil spirit that sucks souls and spits them out with disgust.

Queen

Queen

Sophie’s mom had been a horror movie B actress in her day and moved out of L.A. when Sophie was an infant to start a new life. Scream calls her “Queen.”

Scream

Mr. Creepy

Mr. Creepy is a brutally evil spirit who hates everyone and everything except being evil. He relishes the role of being Baby Doll Delilah’s right (and left) hand clown and is always around to help her with her demonic doings. Mr. Creepy is devoted to serving Baby Doll and to trying to bring down Scream and her “filthy stupid puppet rat.”

Scream

Baddy

Baddy didn’t get his nickname for his evil ways, but because there isn’t anything he’s good at. Baddy is sweet and stupid and full of questions that drive Mr. Creepy crazy. Mr. Creepy would fire him, but his dad was Count Dracula’s favorite bat and he is in the union.
